Three generations have run this landmark restaurant in Union County since 1977. It provides its customers several dining options, including a unique niche dining service in the car. The food is all American and served at family-friendly prices with strong demand even during the COVID years.
The origin
of the franchised restaurant brand itself dates back to the 1920s, and current
owners purchase some of their supplies from the franchisor. The current
owner has grown it to more than $1 million in revenue and has been running it
with four other family members supporting as per their schedule, four cooks,
and 12 part-time service staff.
The owner and his family have been taking a substantial amount of money as
salary and wages, allowing a new owner to bring or hire external managers and
run the business in an absentee or semi-absentee fashion, depending on the next
owner's interest and availability.
