Tiger Butler is a seasoned business broker and franchise owner with a diverse background in real estate investing and entrepreneurship. A native of Forney, TX, Tiger graduated from Forney High School in 2007 before pursuing higher education. After college, he subsequently completed Fire Academy and from 2012 to 2017, Tiger served as a full-time Firefighter/EMT with the Forney Fire Department. During this period Tiger and his wife, Erika, began exploring real estate investment, acquiring single-family rental properties, wholesaling homes, and undertaking fix-and-flip projects.
In September 2017, Tiger transitioned out of the fire service to focus on real estate investing full-time. As his portfolio grew, he and Erika expanded into commercial real estate, gaining a deeper understanding of the impact that strategic operational improvements have on investment performance and property valuations.
As Tiger’s real estate business matured, he began to recognize his growing interest in business operations and valuation. This interest prompted him to start seeking out a new entrepreneurial endeavor and throughout that process he became passionate about learning what makes businesses marketable, how they can optimize profitability and enterprise value, and what drives a successful business transaction. This led him to pursue business brokering as a career.
In his search for the best industry practices and a platform to serve clients effectively, Tiger joined Murphy Business Sales, one of the top business brokerage firms in the country. His goal is to leverage his extensive experience in business operations, real estate investing, and financial analysis to help clients successfully buy or sell their businesses.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Tiger enjoys spending time with his family, cooking and barbecuing, golfing, and serving as a drummer at his local church.
