Pat Steffl

Patrick Steffl has almost 40 years of real-world work experience in executive leadership and business ownership. He has worked with large corporations and in start-ups. Most recently, Patrick has been an Owner and Business Broker, Real Estate Responsible Broker, Regional Developer and M&A Advisor of Murphy Business of Minnesota, LLC for the last 15 years. These diverse work experiences and responsibilities have established a broad base of knowledge that Patrick utilizes when working for his clients as their Trusted Advisor and Business Broker.

Patrick enjoys helping both business owners sell their businesses, and business buyers buy businesses. He has the ability to take the complicated components of a business transaction and simplify them so his clients can understand them and make informed decisions. Patrick has experience closing deals where he has had to bridge the communication gap between high school educated business owners and a Private Equity group buyer made up of Ivy League credentialed employees and owners. Patrick possesses the knowledge to facilitate both smaller, owner-operated business sales, and large, multi-million dollar transactions which attract highly sophisticated and structured financial buyers. He has the experience to assist with deals in any industry and any size. Patrick has developed the unique and necessary skills to manage those transactions with understanding, compassion, honesty, and integrity.

Patrick was born and raised in Minnesota and appreciates and understands the Midwest business climate. He thoroughly enjoys working with, and educating, the many business sellers and buyers that are in need of business transition advisory services. Successfully facilitating business transitions has become Patrick’s most fulfilling business passion to date. He has been a multiple time winner of the Murphy Business Top Producer and Multi-Million Dollar awards, but what he is most proud of is the satisfaction that his clients express to him after the successful closing of their business sale or acquisition.

Patrick has BAs from the University of St. Thomas in Business Administration and Computer Science and an MBA in Strategic Management and Operations from The Carlson School of Management (University of Minnesota).
