Pete Medina

Pete is a CPA and M&A advisor at Murphy Business, specializing in providing end-to-end transaction services to buyers and sellers. He is proficient in overseeing transactions by leveraging an in-depth knowledge of US GAAP principles, utilizing advanced analytical tools, problem-solving skills, and leadership skills. His unique experience and business acumen have helped clients develop and implement a search plan, qualify sellers, identify potential deal breakers, scrub the financial statements, determine a value, structure and negotiate transaction documents, coordinate due diligence, and expedite the transaction process through closing.

Before joining Murphy, Pete honed his skills in the Deal Advisory practice at a Big4 firm for over 25 years. His specialization was providing acquisition advisory services to private equity firms and multinational corporations on middle market transactions, focusing on Latin America and the US.   Pete's global perspective was further enriched by a two-year secondment in the Consumer, Industrial, and Manufacturing Deal Advisory Group based in London, UK, where he worked on European transactions. He has expertise in navigating complex mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures spanning various industries, including technology, healthcare, professional services, manufacturing, equipment and supply distribution, packaging, education, consumer goods and retail, food and beverage, and energy. 

Pete speaks Spanish and is a Certified Public Accountant in Florida. He graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
