Darrel understands both the excitement and the stresses of business ownership. He has seen businesses from both sides of the desk and can be a real asset to the business owner making his plans for the future whether that includes selling his business or expanding it.

Darrel has 40 years of business and banking experience which includes over 32 years in management. He spent 25 years with Norwest Bank (now Wells Fargo Bank). In the first 18 years, he worked in commercial banking where he provided credit and non-credit services to small, medium, large and multinational corporations. During this time Darrel managed three different commercial banking divisions. In his last 8 years at Norwest, he managed an institutional trust department with 7 different business units that had annualized growth of 22% in revenue and over 40% in profits. Over the next decade, Darrel became an entrepreneur and at one point was involved in the ownership and management of three different businesses. He has managed through a variety of economic times in both banking and business ownership.

Darrel has his Bachelor’s Degree in finance from the Carlson School of Management (University of Minnesota). He is also a graduate from the Graduate School of Credit & Financial Management at Williams College in Williamstown, MA. Darrel and his wife, Jo, live in Plymouth, MN and have two grown children. He is a golf enthusiast and has played a number of courses throughout the US and in Ireland and Scotland.
