Todd Murphy

Todd has over 30 years of sales, senior management, executive management, business ownership, and real estate investing experience.  He began as a Cost Accountant & Purchasing Agent, then moved to Sales, then Management, and finally President.  Having started, acquired, and sold multiple businesses, Todd understands the confidential process of exit planning, and assisting a buyer through the financing and due diligence process to conclude a successful business sale.

Todd pursued his Bachelor of Accounting at the University of Minnesota, Duluth.   Todd has always believed that his accounting training & knowledge has been an important foundation to better understand what makes each business unique and successful.

Todd led his first startup company at the age of 25, starting PhotoBrasive Systems as a division of Chromaline/Ikonics Imaging in Duluth, MN.  He then worked in Kansas City for global giants in the printing market such as Fujifilm, Agfa, and Canon, holding a variety of sales/marketing & business leadership roles.  His most recent position was as President at Engineered Printing Solutions (EPS) an inkjet integrator located in Vermont, which was a subsidiary of Xaar PLC, a public British company.  He led the 75-employee company through a successful turnaround by growing an unprofitable $16m/year business to a very profitable $28m/year business which is positioned for sale.

As an entrepreneur, Todd and his wife Jennifer have purchased, combined, grown, and ultimately sold multiple small businesses. They also purchased a total of 13 properties which he managed the rehab efforts to improve the rental values and profitability, ultimately leading to a very profitable sale.  

As a business broker, Todd is an excellent source for helping sellers get their business ready to sell for maximum value.  With a wide range of business experience and expert negotiation skills, he strives to provide great communication, and use technology to effectively market each business and thus help clients transition to their next phase of life.  Todd also enjoys getting to know buyers to help match them to their perfect business opportunity.

Todd and his wife Jennifer have 3 grown children, and 6 grandchildren.
