Biography:

Hunter Brown is a Business Broker and M&A Advisor with Murphy Business Sales, serving business owners throughout Polk County, Orlando, Sarasota, and the surrounding Florida markets. With more than a decade of experience in business brokerage, transaction advisory, accounting, and financial consulting, Hunter helps business owners maximize value, navigate complex transactions, and achieve successful ownership transitions.

Hunter’s background combines financial expertise, business ownership, and transaction advisory experience. After spending seven years in the technology industry in business development and sales leadership roles, he transitioned into public accounting, earned his CPA license in 2014, and acquired his father’s CPA firm in 2016. Since then, he has advised hundreds of business owners on tax planning, business valuations, acquisitions, succession planning, and exit strategies.

His areas of expertise include manufacturing, construction, insulation contracting, retail, and medical practices. Hunter has participated in numerous successful transactions, including businesses valued from $2 million to more than $22 million, while also advising clients on financial analysis, deal structuring, due diligence, negotiations, and transaction execution.

As both a CPA and M&A Advisor, Hunter understands that a successful transaction involves more than finding a buyer—it requires maximizing value, minimizing risk, and helping clients achieve their long-term personal and financial goals. Clients appreciate his analytical approach, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering strategic guidance throughout the buying or selling process.

Prior to his business career, Hunter was a professional wakeboarder, Junior Men’s World Champion, and X Games competitor. Outside of work, he enjoys golf, tennis, surfing, wakeboarding, and spending time with family and friends.
