With over 11 years of experience in business brokerage, David LaVoi brings a unique blend of real-world entrepreneurial knowledge and expertise to help business owners navigate the complexities of buying, selling, and growing businesses.

David’s career began while he was still a student at St. Cloud State University. In his senior year, he secured his first SBA loan to open a car wash and detail shop in 1986. After graduating in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science degree, David went on to sell his first business in 1995 and used an SBA loan to acquire an auto repair shop. Despite not being a mechanic, David quickly learned the ropes of the industry, successfully growing the business for nine years before selling it in 2004. Following that success, he worked as a growth consultant for other auto repair shops before joining Murphy in 2014.

David’s hands-on experience as a business owner and consultant provides valuable insights for current entrepreneurs looking to grow, turn around, or exit their business. His passion for helping others achieve their dreams, combined with his broad industry knowledge, makes him an ideal advisor for any business venture.

David resides in the St. Cloud area with his wife of 37 years. When not helping businesses thrive, he enjoys hunting with his dog, woodworking, boating, traveling, and spending quality time with his family and friends.
