Biography:
Ken Bohenek is an M&A Advisor and Business Intermediary with Murphy Business Sales, advising business owners throughout North Idaho on the sale and acquisition of privately held companies. As a Certified Mergers & Acquisitions Professional (CM&AP) and Board Certified Intermediary (BCI), Ken combines professional transaction expertise with the firsthand perspective of a multi-business owner.
Entrepreneurship has been a part of Ken’s life for decades. He comes from a family of business owners whose ventures have included bars, restaurants, and plumbing and heating companies. Ken has also owned and operated multiple businesses himself, giving him a practical understanding of the challenges, risks, and rewards that come with building and owning a company.
His experience with business ownership and business transfers led him to the M&A and business brokerage profession, where he works closely with owners on valuation, exit planning, confidential marketing, buyer qualification, negotiations, due diligence, and the many issues involved in successfully completing a transaction.
Having sat on the ownership side of the table, Ken understands that selling a business is about more than determining a price. For many owners, their company represents decades of investment, risk, relationships, and hard work. His approach is to combine objective transaction expertise with an understanding of the owner’s perspective, helping clients navigate the process while protecting the value they have built.
Outside of work, Ken enjoys staying active and is an avid high-performance automotive and motorsport enthusiast.
