Sheila Spangler has spent her career in finance as a business broker, commercial lender, and consultant. As a business intermediary with Murphy Business & Financial, she specializes in business sales, buyer searches, business valuation, negotiation, deal structure, and financing.
Prior to joining Murphy Business & Financial, she launched and led and her own business brokerage firm, Capital Strategies, for over six years. Additionally, she founded and launched the Zions Bank Business Resource Center, and the Women’s Business Center, two business-consulting organizations focused on financial counseling and training for aspiring and existing entrepreneurs seeking to start, grow and finance their companies. She has provided business planning, consulting, and financing services to local business owners for over 25 years. As a commercial lender, she held the position of Vice President with several large banking institutions. During her career, Sheila has originated and closed numerous SBA 7(a) and 504 loans, commercial real estate and operating capital loans.
She received a master’s degree from Pacific Coast Banking School, at the University of Washington and has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boise State University. She is an Idaho real estate broker and earned the Certified Business Intermediary designation from the International Business Brokers Association and the Certified Treasury Professional designation from the Association for Financial Professionals. Additionally, she has completed four core courses towards the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation.
