Biography:
Graduating with a degree in Finance, Ron’s career started in the corporate world. He held positions as a Financial Analyst, Accountant, Inventory Manager, and Inside Sales. Over time the entrepreneurial bug took hold and he decided to purchase a veterinary hospital.
He quickly learned what all business owners are aware of, there is no better overall education than running a business. The seller of the veterinary hospital utilized a business broker to facilitate the sale. Ron was extremely impressed with this broker’s ability throughout the process. This sparked his initial interest in becoming a business broker. When it was time to sell years later, Ron hired the same business broker who had done such a great job selling to him initially. Once again it was clear that Ron had a strong desire to work as a business broker. He felt he could provide value for other business buyers and sellers, just as his broker had done for him.
After the veterinary hospital sale Ron and his wife were expecting their first child. Despite a strong desire to work as a business broker, the decision was made to acquire an existing Farmers insurance agency. Running the insurance agency was an amazing opportunity and learning experience. Soon after their second child Ron sold the Farmers agency so he could finally become a business broker!
As a previous business owner having bought and sold two successful businesses, Ron has a clear understanding of the effort and sacrifice required to build a prosperous business. As a result, he is very aware of how difficult the decision to sell can be and assures absolute confidentiality throughout the process.
