Mike called us in August 2021 to help sell his 30-year-old vending business. Mike had some work to do in preparing the business for sale. He listened to our reasons and diligently worked to get proper documents we knew a seller would want to see.
We took our time and made sure we presented the business well by having answers to buyers’ questions on the initial call. This work paid off and we had 70 buyers inquire about the business and had the business under offer in less than 1 month.
We closed on the business in October 2021. I attribute the quick sale to Mike’s flexibility to train the buyer before closing, open to holding a generous seller note, and a willingness to assist in a longer transition period.
