Terry Flanagan began his business brokerage career in the healthcare industry concentrating in primary care and allied health care providers. Prior to joining Murphy Business and Financial Services, Terry worked in the health care field for 28 years. His experience included operating a private clinic as well as providing services in a multi-disciplinary setting. Since joining the Murphy group, he has broadened his experience to include Main Street businesses and lower mid-market companies in a variety of industry categories.
Terry was credentialed in business valuation in 2005 and has valuation experience in multiple industries including professional practices, closely held businesses and businesses in the lower to middle mid-market category for buy/sell, gift tax, partner buy-out and marital dissolution reasons. This unique combination of brokerage experience and valuation experience allows for a nuanced understanding of the relationship of how the key drivers of a business determine business value and how to strategically position the business in the marketplace for buyer acquisition.
Terry holds master’s degrees in Applied Science (MAppSc), Public Health (MPH) and Business Administration (MBA) with a focus in finance. He is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) through the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (www.nacva.com) and a Certified Business Appraiser (CBA) through the Institute of Business Appraisers (www.go-iba.org). He also holds the Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) designation through the International Business Brokers Association (www.ibba.org). He is a licensed real estate agent in the State of Florida.
