At Murphy Business of Cape, we guide our clients through the complicated process so they get to the closing table successfully. From our office in southeast Missouri*, we serve clients nationwide (and sometimes internationally).

As a part of the Murphy Business franchise network (the largest of its kind in North America), we have access to the best online marketing websites. We also have a culture of co-brokering, meaning that we work regularly with other brokers/M&A Advisors to source buyers and sellers. We are proud to be part of the Murphy network, as it provides us with the best resources, a robust back office, and frequent training so we are better able to serve our clients.

Jennifer Smith Broeckling, Melanie Smollen, and Kate Roth (learn more about them individually here) have been working together for well over a decade. Jennifer is our business broker/M&A Advisor and works directly with the buyers and sellers to get deals done, mainly in the lower middle market space. Melanie is our business broker, serving as an intermediary to facilitate buy/sell transactions, mainly in the main street space. Kate handles all support functions. Together, they are a well-oiled machine and can pretty much read each other’s minds. Our office leverages technology to be able to serve our clients across the country on a daily basis. We love business owners and believe that well-run businesses truly are the backbone of our economy. The excitement of seeing a great business transition ownership to a new owner never gets old.
